According to the pocket Oxford medical dictionary:

"A Headache is a continuous pain in the head"
This pain may be varies in duration, intensity and distribution. You may find the pain in front or behind or in one side or both sides of the head. We all get Headache sometime, but it varies from person to person according to individual's social and occupational level. Stress is a common cause of various diseases including headache.

What is a Migraine?

Also According to the pocket Oxford medical dictionary:
'Migraine is a recurrent throbbing headache often with nausea and visual disturbance."
Migraine is a type headache usually occurs in one side of the head with or without occurrence of symptoms before headache, we call these symptoms (aura) which are "disturbance of vision, may be temporary loss of vision, nausea, vomiting and increase sensitivity to light.

How we feel headache and migraine?
Briefly, the brain does not contain pain nerves but we feel pain from nerves outside the brain which are located along the superficial area of head and in the muscle layer.
What are types or classification of headache?
If we simplify The International Classification of Headache Disorders, 2nd Edition this will classify types of headache into three types or classes:

1-Primary Headache:
This section contains:

Migraine and headache due to tension
2-Secondery Headache:

This section contains:
• causes related to the brain such as: head trauma, vascular and non vascular

• causes due to disease inside the brain such as tumor

• causes due to using or stop using some drugs and substances

3-Neurolagia and other headache
This section contains causes due to inflammation or irritation of nerves
What are types or classification of Migraine?

Typically we found there are two mainly types:
• Migraine with aura which is characterized by symptoms before migraine headache occurs, these symptoms is very short in duration as visual disturbance and followed by headache and sometimes without headache.

• Migraine without aura is characterized by its recurrence and occurrence without the above symptoms.

There are other types or subtypes we don't discuss here

Treating Your Hair Right

By Andrew Stratton
Fashion industry have a greater influence to most people on what color, styles and length a person's hair could be. You see that these days, being bald is no longer something you could hide forever. The truth is that bald is one of the stylistic trend these days. Women on the other hand opt to wear hair extensions on some occasions, have their hairs colored/dyed and wear wigs on special events. You can never tell which is real because of so many options available for both sexes.

However, with the growing obsession to hair dyeing, many people lost their good and vibrant hair in the long run. Some of the common problems related to extreme hair coloring are the drying of hair and of course, losing of its natural elements. Researches found out that a dry hair lacks the essential natural content and the moist the hair should possess to maintain its health and smoothness.

Other damage of extreme hair coloring is that it weakens the hairs' attachment to an individual's scalp. For this reason, the around 150,000 individual strands of hair lose their good grip on the person's scalp, lose the shimmer and strength.
But that's not all. There are also physical factors why a person's hair weakens in the long run. Understandably, there are people who are originally having weak hair strands. Further, with the adoption of fashion and application of aggressive hair chemicals eventually could lead to hair breakage and the worse is hair lost permanently.
What are the other factors why others lose their beautiful hair? The following can be seriously considered:

• Excessive and inappropriate use of blow drier

• Application of harsh and aggressive hair detergents for dying purposes

• Inappropriate combing or inappropriate choice of comb or brush

• Menkes kinky hair syndrome

• Hyperthyroidism can be a great contributor in hair loss or drying of hair

• Deficiency in vitamin k like anorexic status

• Extreme exposure to sunlight or pollutants

Given the above factors, it's important for you to take care of your hair. As you all know, the hair adds up to your personality and a good hair indicates good crown for its owner so why waste or abuse it to its destruction? Taking care of your hair is very simple. All you need to have is take time to understand the reasons why your hair drying. You may want to discuss this with a trusted health care provider for you to get the best possible assistance.

On the other hand and if you're on the process of buying stuffs for your hair, make sure to consult a good doctor or a hair specialist before using any chemical. The last and best option for you is to keep a proper diet, enhance your vitamin k intake and expose yourself to beneficial sunlight. Allow your scalp to sweat naturally for it also releases the hair's natural oil. Never over use will shampoo for it break good hair lines. Lastly, make sure to free your hair most of the time and use a good brush or comb.

Does hair removal really works? This the most common question asked by the people. The laser hair removal method is permanent solution for the unwanted hair because it acts on the hair follicles. This method is being used world wide because it is practically painless. A person has to go under series of hair removal treatments for best results.
It is very important to discuss the type of skin prior to the treatment. You should find all the information about laser hair removal technique. The physician who is going to perform the treatment should be qualified and skilled. The cost of the treatment depend on the number of treatment sessions. One treatment session can cost from 500$ to 700$. The laser hair removal method is easy and effective and does not have any adverse effects if conducted in a proper way.
The methods like shaving plucking and waxing are getting unpopular because of irritation and pain they can cause. It is a wise decision to be away from the sunlight one week prior to the surgery as it will minimize the side effects. The most common areas where this technique is performed are face, back, upper lip and periareolar region. The most common side effects of the procedure are redness, pigmentation and swelling but these complications are temporary and can be minimized if proper care is taken.

A Healthy Holistic Approach

"The first thing he noticed when he got into the city was the air; it tasted used, as if it had been in and out of hundreds of other mouths by the time it got to his."

"The second thing was the noise. It ebbed and flowed, changing subtly all the time - and loud...He found it odd that the people walking around him didn't seem to notice the noise, or at least weren't disturbed by it. Personally he wondered how anyone could hear themselves think with such a racket going on all the time."

This excerpt was taken from a novel that I have been reading for the past few weeks - it says a lot about health and humanity.

If you want maximum performance in your lifestyle then you must put the best ingredients into your body.
- Of all the prerequisites for health and happiness, air/oxygen is one of the most important - and perhaps one of the ingredients that is taken most for granted.
- Air is, or should, be taken into the lungs via the nostrils.
- They filter, warm and humidify the air before it reaches the lungs.
- Breathing should be practised isochronally (equal in duration): in-hold-out-hold and should be performed from the diaphragm - ensuring that a greater volume of air is taken in.
- Most people breathe in a manner that is very shallow and often through the mouth - panting like a dog.
- The breathing of 'passive air' - air that has been filtered through air conditioners, saturated with stale odours, full of effluents etc is not fit for health.
- If our daily habitat is one of restriction - we should strive to get outdoors - to the beach - at altitudes - in order to replenish the body with the best air possible.
Silence is the best companion for rest.
- Unfortunately, we are so accustomed to 'background noise' that we are unaware of the amount of 'aural stimulation' that goes on in our daily lives.
I used to live on a flight path in a big city. I swear that sometimes it sounded like a 747 was going to land on my roof - however, after a while I was able to attenuate the noise and block it out of my mind.
- If you find yourself in an environment in which noise is your constant companion - get as far away from the source as often as possible.
I love to visit parks, forests and beaches - to stop and listen to nothing but nature's gentle movements - they revive me.

Don't take the little things for granted - it is only by practising a truly holistic approach to health that you will attain to the highest level of happiness.
All the best in creating peace and harmony in your lifestyle.

Before you arise from your comfy bed in the morning no matter what time it is, be positive right from the start. Stop grumbling about the cold or having to get up early for work etc. etc Do or say what you think will make you feel good about the rest of your day. I start by saying "Thank you God for another beautiful day!" -- rain, hail or shine ! It's up to you entirely but that's my reassurance for a good start to the exciting time ahead.

It is up to you to seek your avenues of advice and knowledge and make your own decisions based on those studied yourself. This is just a guide but everyone is different and every situation is also different. But it is worth the research-by reading or talking to people.

Can A Cyst Become Cancerous?

Now, here's the big question.
That's again the cancer fear that all women have. The answer, I'd say is no. This has been looked at pretty, pretty extensively. There was a rather large study I think it was in Sweden. They looked at something like 90,000 - they've got a very sophisticated system of registry in Sweden where they can look at data. And something like ninety thousand women were paired with 90,000 normal ones and the various kinds of cysts, endometriomas, the functional cyst, the non-functional cyst. And they said "Well what's the likelihood any of these women come back for ovary cancer"? And there was no difference. If you had an ovary cyst that was benign you had no increased incidence of having cancer later. The only difference in this was endometrioma which had a slight increase difference. And possibly the reason for that is something to do with estrogen sensitivity around the ovary. But again it's, it was somewhat more common but it's nothing to say "My gosh, I've got endometrioma, by now I've got to have cancer". That should be the farthest thing from a persons mind. So I'd say without question your -
The fact that one has a cyst it is not going to develop to, you do not have an increased cancer risk. Now certainly the cystadinomas it's felt that some of these, these are the benign tumors. Can these cystadinomas develop into cystoadnocarsonoma? The answer is, yes probably. But, once you've removed it, the cystadinoma, as well as removing the dermoid cyst, which are very rarely cancer you've eliminated that risk. If a woman is going to have a cancerous cyst it's going to be there from a cancerous cyst per say. She most likely is over the age of fifty and their, in general the reproductive years do not have, a woman does not have to be concerned that a cyst is going to transgress, develop into a cancer.
There was something else I wanted to mention. I'm sure we've got several questions, yet I do want to go through these. I think that's pretty much my overview on cysts and the various diagnoses of cysts, the types of cysts. The treatment we can summarize that at the end.
What happens when a cyst is likely to rupture?
This is probably the number one life threatening complication that New York OB/GYN Christopher Freville has to deal with on an almost basis. A cyst can rupture be it a, most likely it's a follicular cyst or a corpus luteum cyst. These are the so-called functional cysts, or the functional cyst with pregnancy. When they rupture generally nothing happens. In fact, there's usually a pressure relief.
Because any distended cyst is often what gives, as a cyst's nerves are increased by the distension, by the fluid, that's often what causes the pain. The relief of the pain comes whenever it ruptures. Often like, unfortunately a ruptured appendix. Sometimes when a patient feels an appendix ballooning up and brings him to the doctors the fact that the appendix becomes distended. Immediately after that there's a rupture and they don't feel the pain. Unfortunately what causes the problems with ruptured cysts is if the cyst has a very rich blood supply and that blood supply, the arteries start pumping blood and don't seal off and the abdomen can fill up with blood. And I've dealt with many cases both as an ectopic pregnancy, but the conditions usually much worse, but also, as a, rarely as a ruptured cyst that's bleeding off a cystic pregnancy. And often times the abdomen can literally become distended. In a severe case woman can go into shock meaning their blood pressure falls out, it's an emergency, life threatening situation that if undiagnosed can be fatal. Fortunately, with emergency rooms being equipped the way they are, doctors being as smart as we are - we rarely miss this. But once in a great while this is a complication. And when the cyst ruptures it doesn't, you can usually preserve the ovary. Usually it can be sutured over, quarterized. The ovary stays in tact and even in a rare case if it had to be removed, again that does not affect fertility.

How To Apply Makeup

By Sarah J Barton

Most women wear makeup at some point or another. There are many tricks and tips to putting make up on successfully. Knowing some of the tips and tricks on how it is best applied proves quite helpful to any ones daily beauty regime. Everyone likes to get all dolled up at times, but truthfully, it is not always a good thing to put so much makeup on your skin. To start, always remember to wash off the make up that you do wear at the end of the night. Its one of the best things you can do to let your skin breathe and rejuvenate. Moisturize after washing so your skin stays soft and supple.

Teenagers are the first group that can benefit from a few makeup tips, especially for those who are doing it for the first time. It's easy to try to go overboard and plaster it on too heavy, but it's entirely unnecessary. First off, most teenagers have a natural glow to their skin, due to youth and age. To begin with, find a good skin cleanser that is formulated for your skin. There are many different kinds of cleansers-you may need one for dry skin, oily skin or for combination skin. Wash your face thoroughly with the right cleanser. Use a good moisturizer to smooth lotion on your face and down into your neck. Make sure not to apply too much as it will make applying your makeup more difficult. It's also best to use a lotion that has a sunscreen in it, preferably with an SPF of 30 or higher. Don't think that wearing make up will prevent you from getting sunburn in the hotter months, because it won't. Give yourself a few minutes before applying your cosmetics to let the lotion sink in.

You are now ready to apply a very light layer of a good foundation onto your skin. Another good rule of thumb is to purchase a foundation that also has a sunscreen built into the ingredients. You can check the contents of any moisturizer or makeup to see if there is a sunscreen in it. When you are choosing a foundation, try to match it as closely to your skin tone as possible. You definitely do not want it to be too dark for your skin, as this will look terrible and obvious that you are wearing makeup. If you are not sure, rub some onto your wrist, or go a shade lighter. Going lighter is better than going darker. Try to get the best possible match that you can achieve. When applying foundation, use either the tips of your fingers or a soft sea sponge. A sea sponge can be purchased at your local pharmacy or store. Start by applying the foundation in an upward motion. This will enable you to spread the foundation better and help keep it from splotching on your face.

After the above is on, apply a light application of powder to keep your foundation on. The powder should match the color of the foundation as best as possible. After you have done this, you will then be ready to put on a light application of eye liner. A black and brown combination is a good bet to try, and can usually even be purchased as a combination set. When applying eyeliner, it is best to avoid too much black, as it may end up looking like you are trying too hard. Take the pencil in the hand that you use to draw with and start at the edge of your lower eyelid. Draw a light line of eye liner either on or just under the edge of your lower eyelid. Most women have their own way of doing this. Next will come mascara, if you want. The mascara you choose will come with a small brush already inside the bottle. It is usually best to choose a shade that is close to the color of eyeliner you are wearing. Brush the mascara over your lashes smoothly and evenly, trying not to apply too much of it. You want to avoid clumping your mascara, but you can always use an additional mascara brush to try and even out your lashes if need be. You are now ready to apply just a bit of blush, again at a color that matches your skin tone. Apply it high on your cheekbones for a soft effect.

Lastly, a bit of light lip gloss can really complete your look. Lip gloss comes in many colors and flavours, but clear lip gloss is always a good bet to put on. You have now learned how to put on makeup, and it does get easier the more you practice it.
Once you have been applying make up for awhile, you tend to get bored doing it. That's why it is a good idea to develop a routine where you can get it all on within about five minutes. It is quite possible to achieve a beautiful looking face in that small amount of time, no matter who you are. When you first get up in the morning, and have already showered, many of us just want a fresher looking face. Others simply want a quick routine that will make them look good in the least amount of time possible.

First thing, have all your makeup ready to go where you will be applying it. You do not want to lose time by looking for various items. Organise everything in a nice basket and keep it all together in the bathroom or on your vanity table. Do not try too hard to apply your make up because sometimes the harder you try to do it perfect the worse it comes out. Apply it with a light hand and you'll be amazed at the results you will achieve. First, put on your moisturizer onto your face and throat like always. Put a bit of foundation on your sea sponge or fingertips and spread quickly over your face, blending it in to look natural. Next, powder your face to get the foundation to set in and rid yourself of the shine.

Grab hold of your eyeliner and do a quick sweep on your eyes, the same goes for your mascara. Put a bit of blush on for color: use a bit of lip gloss to sweep over your lips to give them a shine. You're done! You have just learned how to apply your makeup in five minutes or less. It is really easy to accomplish the art of applying makeup. It just takes a bit of practice!

Caring for Oily Skin Types

By Simon Merkel

Beautiful, healthy skin starts with cleansing and toning - an important step for both morning and night-time skin care. There are 5 basic skin care types: Oily, combination, sensitive, dry and sun-damaged.
Oily skin has a terribly negative effect on self-esteem as well as body image. Greasiness and shine often outweigh acne concerns. Oil (sebum) is produced by sebaceous glands. Normal sebum production performs the important job of lubricating your skin. Sebum also carries with it dead skin cells shedding from your hair follicle walls. The amount of sebum an individual generates is determined by genetics (and often increases during adolescence). While excess sebum is not directly responsible for acne, it can contribute to clogged pores.
In this kind of skin, oil producing glands are overactive. They produces more oil than is needed, which oozes up, giving the skin a greasy shine. Oily skin tends to look thick, shiny and dully colored, and is often susceptible to skin maladies such as acne, blackheads, whiteheads and pimples as the excess oils in the skin manifest
If you want good skin, the most important thing is to take care of it daily. First you cleansing your face. It is necessary to clean skin and the pores to remove dirt, dust, excess oil, salt, and waste coming within and coming from outside the body. Wash your face and other skin of body with plenty of water to get it cleaned.Second skin toner should be utilized to revitalize the skin and to get it a proper complexion.
Toning improves blood circulation in the skin and helps skin tissues to remain tight and firm. Use oil-free, noncomedogenic sunscreen whenever sun exposure is expected. If you skin is extremely oily (e.g. oily even after basic cleansing), you can follow with alcohol-based toner with salicylic acid. Some people with oily skin may benefit from a clay/mud mask once a week. Nourishing is very important to maintain the natural oil of the skin to make the skin lively. Different vitamin skin cream could be used to nourish the skin. Skin gets dry and looses its gloss. To give it the real look moisture should be applied from outside in the form of cream or lotion. It is better to use moisture just after bath. You could also use a clay mask (say once a week) as an oily skin care measure.
Oily Skin Care tips are essential. Lean about Blackheads and Acne Skin Care
